Desk Appraisal Report

A complete and USPAP-compliant, IRS-qualified appraisal report prepared from client-provided photography and documentation. Covers estate, resale, insurance, and charitable donation purposes.


Includes provenance research, comparable sales analysis, and full written report. Includes a condition assessment when an in-person inspection has taken place.

Complex Appraisal

Works valued over $100,000 require a deeper level of documentation and justification. Scope and estimated hours discussed during initial consultation.

Research at this level of valuation is extensive by nature to meet IRS requirements.







In Person Inspections
  • Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia area: In-person visits are warmly encouraged and available at no additional cost.

  • Outside the DC Area: Fine Eye Appraisal is available for on site visits nationwide. Travel expenses are billed at cost.

Multi-Work and Collection Bookings
  • Collectors looking to appraise two or more works, or seeking ongoing collection management services, are encouraged to reach out to discuss a custom project scope and fee structure.
